Well! I have decided that this year I am going to try to get ahead with the small gifts that always seem to stump me. You know those little bits and pieces that you want for stocking stuffers or extras for a gift bag. I always think I am so organized, but these smaller things always have me hopping at the last minute.
This year I think I have come up with a great idea! I am going to David’s Tea. They have a great selection of all kinds of things to choose from. Mugs, hot drink containers, infusers, and the list goes on. I was really impressed with the selection of tea both loose and in sachets. I also learnt that the tea can be made and then put into your favourite baking recipe. For instance, steep the Forever Nuts flavoured tea and put it into your apple pie mixture. When the pie is baking you will have a wonderful smell of sweet cinnamon wafting throughout the kitchen.
I am definitely going to buy an Advent calendar, they are awesome. Perhaps a more grown-up version of the traditional chocolate type. For each of the 24 days leading up to the holidays, you open one of the doors on the calendar and the surprise is a different flavour sachet of tea. This is a great way to try all the selections and possibly find a favourite. I think these are great and I have a few people on my list that would just love this.
I actually did go online to David’s Tea web site to gather a few ideas then I am going to head to Willowbrook to pick everything up. Call me old school, but I really do like to see the product before I splurge.
I really am amazed at the selection, I had no idea you could do so many things with tea or that there are so many types, who knew! I’m so excited that I will be able to check off quite a number from my list. Don’t need to check this one twice! Come on down to Willowbrook to check out David’s Tea I’m sure, just like me, you won’t be disappointed and who knows, whilst you are there you will probably be able to find more exciting things at all the other great stores at Willowbrook.
